Gaza Water Crisis: 215,000 Litres of Clean Water from Sanad

According to the United Nations, 91% of households in Gaza face water insecurity. Sanad had to act. In neighbourhoods worn down by destruction, children and families line up with containers and jerrycans. They are waiting for something simple on the surface, yet profound in its impact: water they can drink without fear. Sanad distributes clean, filtered drinking water to displaced families in different areas of the Gaza Strip, as far as donations allow. We source the water from desalination and filtration plants, then bring it closer to people: we deliver it by water truck to the neighbourhoods and displacement areas where they live. In Q3 2026 (July – September), we distributed 215,000 litres of drinking water, more than three times what we distributed in Q2. All of it was made possible by individual donors.
