Primary Health Care
SCF provides Primary Health Care (PHC) services in both areas of needs and the rest of Sudan. SCF is contributing to reduce morbidity and mortality rates through rehabilitation of health facilities, provision of essential drugs and medical supplies, provision of free medical services in remote areas and conduction of awareness raising campaigns.
Relief and Emergencies Campaigns
The Relief and emergency campaigns are one of the pioneering and continuous projects that SCF offers in order to minimize the harmful impacts of the floods in the affected areas. The project targets flood- affected people from several Sudanese states. The campaigns include awareness raising sessions, mosquito-spraying campaigns and shelter materials distribution (tents, mosquito nets, linoleum, food and nutritional necessities, blankets).
SCF is working to address the needs of cancer patients and to elevate suffering during their treatment period. The organization is working at two levels:
- Training the medical cadres and spreading the awareness among them.
- Supporting the hospitals and improving the quality of the care.
The mobile clinics project is one of the pioneering humanitarian initiatives that SCF offers in partnership with the Sheikha Fatima Bint Mubarak program and Zayed Giving Initiative in support of women and children. The project is the first of its kind in Africa and was executed in several Sudanese states.
Open-Heart Surgeries and Catheterizations for Children
SCF has a successful experience in open-heart surgeries for children. SCF in cooperation with Al-Muntada organization and Mohammed Bin Rashid Foundation, an United Arab Emirates charitable foundation, implemented (8) medical campaigns through volunteer medical cadres from various nationalities.
In the framework of promoting the overall health of mothers and children, SCF carried out basic training program for midwives. The fundamental goal of the Project is to minimize the morbidity and mortality rate of mothers and neonates.
SCF in collaboration with Al Rajhi Charitable Foundation conducted a program for blindness prevention. The program provided medical services, such as free eye checkup, eye surgeries (Cataract) as well as free eye glasses for the patients.
The Sudanese Coalition for Women issue's and AIDS
The project is sponsored by the First lady. The aspired objective of the program is to prevent the direct transmission of the disease from the expectant mothers to the fetuses. The program involves conduction of awareness raising campaigns and provision of psychosocial support for the patients.
Supporting the Kidney Centers
SCF broadened its scope of activities to involve kidney patients and made a valuable contribution to this figure. Since the year 2013, SCF in cooperation with Rajhi charitable foundation granted hemodialysis machines to several health centers in different states of Sudan.
